First Idea





Synopsis

This starts with a group of friends who go camping at night in a forest. Two teenagers Joe and Katie. Joe who is a average guy, the leader of the group and organised the trip for them. Katie is a nervous wreck and gets frightened of the littlest things, The only reason she agreed to go is that she lost a bet with Joe at the start of summer.  They both get off a bus on a dark clear sky night, the moon is full and and they walk down the moonlit street Katie checks her phone and has a missed call from Jack to the local forest where they meet their friends Jack and Emily at the entrance. They they they then walk in and set up camp with a fire in the center . Little did they know that someone was following them. They are all sat together around a fire and Joe gets frustrated with Emily and goes and walks to a nearby tree. As he leans Joe gets hit by a knife. They run as Emily gets captured by the hunter. Joe and Katie run Katie trips and is dragged away before Joe can do anything. After running Joe gets to a street and lies down as street lights come up to him. It fades to white

Filming Style

The style I would like to use would be using a mix of long pan shots in calmer scenes and quicker cuts in the chase and more dramatic scenes where the people are frightened.

Mise en scene

The setting I would like to use are mainly two places. A street at night with a bus stop sign on it. I would also like it to have the older orange street lights and not the blue ones, this is so it can add to the atmosphere. I also need a forest with an area large enough to put cameras and some

Target audience

The target audience will be Teens in the 16-20 range with neither a focus on males or females.

 Characters

The main four characters are:
Joe. Joe is a normal guy and the main character of which we see the perspective of.
Katie. Katie is a girl who easily gets scared but is actually strong when it comes to it which we will find out as the move goes on.
Jack: Jack is a lad and is the most confident in the group who always seems to know what he is doing.
Emily: Emily is the victim that we eventually see Joe sacrifice himself for her. She is a normal girl whose main standout feature is that

Length

The opening would be around 4 to 5 minutes.
The whole film would be around and hour and a half.

Second Idea




Synopsis

A masked killer hunts and kills people because he’s a creepy guy with no friends or social interaction so people started creating horrible rumors about him killing people so he goes crazy and starts doing what people think he does.


Filming Style

Filming style will be a lot of free handed camera so that the camera's movement will seem more fitting for a horror movie rather than calm lifeless camera shots and movement.


Mise en scene

For the killer we will need a mask a weapon and some overalls for their costume, the other characters will just be in casual clothing t-shirts and jeans. The setting will be in a forest away from people. For props we will need a fake knife or blade and that’s all.


Character Description

Killer wears a mask and overalls don’t speak only emotion he shows is anger through grunts and by lashing out.


Jackson, short brown hair, slim build, average height and wears casual clothing.


Length
the opening will be 5 minutes and the entire film will be around 1 hour 20 minutes.

Third Idea



Synopsis


 A few children are in a after school revision class, when suddenly the teacher gets a strange email saying there is a new student joining, but to everyone’s surprise the new student is a doll and things take a turn for the worse from there.



Filming Style

The film will be shot in dark and dim lighting, with a slow and continuous shooting style. The film will be shot with mainly high angle shots over looking all of the class; there will also be POV shots from the antagonist the doll. The style will be a slow paced intense and scary horror.
                                                       


Mise en scene

The props will be a light bulb, a knife, a doll, desk and chairs and a blackboard.
The clothing will be a school clothes, e.g. shirts, ties, skirts, smart shoes.
The setting will be an old eerie classroom, with dirty windows creating a dim lighting.
                                     


Characters

Miss Eldy- Medium height, Brunette, pink blazer and grey skirt – Firm but fair teacher who is easily scared, Loves- Romance films hates – Spiders


Grant-Tall, Short blonde hair – Typical lad, likes to mess about – Loves rugby hates School


Lucy-Short, Long blonde hair – enjoys dance and singing, Friendly and kind loves her phone hates being stressed


Kyle-short black hair, scruffy- has very low motivation, loves skateboarding, hates any form of work


Fin – Tall muscular build, long brown hair, very shy person, likes to keep himself to himself hates- Social interaction loves-Video games


Billy- Small creepy school boy doll, made of wood and plastic black hair, possessed by the soul of an evil spirit


Length

The length of the film would be 70 minutes, and the opening would last 5 minutes, the opening would introduce all the characters and set the tone for the rest of the film
